Welcome to Help Connect JA

By accessing and using HelpConnectJA.com (the “Website”) and our associated social media accounts, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Our Service

Help Connect JA provides a free platform for families to report missing persons in Jamaica and for the community to assist in locating them. We are not a law enforcement agency, private investigation service, or government entity.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Website. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to submit information.

3. Submission of Information

When you submit a missing person report, you agree that:

  • The information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You have the right to share the photos and information submitted
  • You understand we will publicly post this information on our website and social media
  • You authorize us to share this information for the purpose of locating the missing person

4. No Guarantee of Results

We make no guarantees that using our service will result in locating a missing person. We are a communication platform, not a search and rescue operation.

5. Information Accuracy

We do our best to verify information, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all submissions. Users should:

  • Verify information independently when possible
  • Report errors or updates to us immediately
  • Exercise caution when responding to missing person reports

6. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use Help Connect JA to:

  • Submit false reports or misleading information
  • Harass, stalk, or cause harm to any individual
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Impersonate another person
  • Submit spam or commercial content
  • Use automated systems to access the site without permission

7. Content Ownership

  • Your Content: You retain ownership of photos and information you submit, but grant us a license to display and share it for the purpose of locating missing persons
  • Our Content: All other content on the Website (logos, designs, text we create) is owned by Help Connect JA

8. Privacy

We collect and use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using this service, you consent to our data practices.

9. Removal of Content

We reserve the right to remove any content that:

  • Violates these Terms
  • Is reported as inaccurate or harmful
  • Is no longer needed (person found, case closed)
  • Violates any law

Our Website may link to external resources (government agencies, relief organizations). We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party sites.
