Hope Lives Where People Connect
Helping Jamaicans find missing family members after Hurricane Melissa and beyond.
If you can’t reach your family after the hurricane…
- Contact local shelters or police stations in the area
- Ask neighbors or church members nearby for updates
- Send us any info you have. We’ll help spread the word
Our Mission
Hurricane Melissa left many Jamaican families desperately searching for their loved ones. Help Connect JA was created to bridge the gap when phone towers are down, roads are blocked, and traditional communication fails.
We provide a free platform where families can report missing persons and share critical information with the community. Every submission is reviewed by our team and shared across our website and social media to maximize visibility and bring families back together. Whether you’re searching for someone in Jamaica or trying to reach family from overseas, we’re here to help you reconnect.
How Help Connect JA Works
Fill out our simple form with a photo and details about your missing loved one. You can submit even if you don’t have full information.
Our team reviews your submission within 24 hours and posts it to our website and Instagram @helpconnectja for maximum reach.
Thousands of Jamaicans see your post. Anyone with information can contact you directly or send us tips to pass along.
Check back regularly. We update statuses when people are found or reunited with family.
Every Share Could Save a Family
You don’t have to be directly affected to make a difference. Share our posts, check our updates, and help us reach every corner of Jamaica. Together, we can bring our people home.

Our platform works because Jamaicans care about each other. When communication systems fail, the community steps up. Every share, every tip, every search matters.
